Salient Features of Sterling School for Prep, Primary and Secondary Section(Nursery , Jr. Kg & Sr.Kg)Prep Education: Is the focal point of the National Education Policy (NEP) & Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN) of the government spans through the age group of 3 yrs to 6 yrs. (I to V) PRIMARY SECTION Primary Education provides a solid foundation for a child's academic and personal development. It equips them with the basic skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the later stages of their education and in life. These include
Sterling also goes along with C.C.E is "If the student is not learning the way we are teaching, we will impart knowledge in the way he wants to learn". In this way we provide enriching learning experiences and bring about their holistic development. The new process of evaluation will be continuous and spread over the entire academic year. It will be "Comprehensive" as it will cover both the scholastic and co scholastic aspects of students growth and development. Scholastic areas will be based on the academics including Art and Physical Education. Co scholastic areas will refer to life skills, participation in activities and personality development. This modified method of evaluation will be child centered Activity. It will encourage and enable the student to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life.
Aims of Education ( VI to X Secondary Section) The Aims of Education are landscaped in the guiding principles of constitution which reflect a commitment to democracy and the values of equality, justice, freedom, concern for others' well-being, secularism, respect for human dignity and human rights. We ensure that work-related experiences are sufficient and broad-based in terms of skills and attitudes, that they foster an understanding of socio-economic processes, and help to inculcate a mental frame that encourages working with others in a spirit of cooperation. Education in our school provides the means and opportunities to enhance the child's creative expression and the capacity for aesthetic appreciation. Sterling school over the last 10 years has built for itself a reputation in the field of education. A BRIEF REVIEW OF EVALUATION (VI - X) Experiential & Competency based learning refers to a system of school-based evaluation of students that covers all the aspects of student's development. Experiential learning means direct experience & focused reflection in order to increase knowledge, develop skills with clarified values of students during his/her growth and development .
